Most knitting boards are straight frames, also known as rake or frame boards. These boards allow you to double-knit to make sweaters, afghans and scarves by winding the yarn back and forth between the upper and lower boards, but you can't knit in the round without leaving big holes in the knitting. Round looms allow you to knit in the round to make hats, socks and tubes, but you can't double-knit on a round loom. Corkers and spools help you make knitted braids and cords for jewelry, belts hot plate trivets, area rugs and chair pads, but you can;t make large garments on a corker.
By adding two extra knitting pegs called rounders on The Knitting Board, you can knit three different ways with one knitting board. The Knitting Board is Three-Tools-in-One!
